#ad | It’s been 4 weeks since I started using @dearbrightly’s Glowgetter Starter Retinoid kit, so I want to give you all a quick update on my experience now that I am one month in. As I had mentioned before, Dear Brightly is a retinoid treatment service. The process is super convenient, affordable, and is tailored to fit your skin type. I certainly had my concerns with starting to use a retinoid since my skin can get quite sensitive and temperamental. However, I found out the key is to slowly introduce the treatment and build up your frequency to daily usage depending on how reactive your skin is. Over these past couple weeks, I luckily haven’t experienced any irritation or peeling. I did see some minor redness, but nothing major. Overall, I’ve noticed that my skin is slowly becoming more refined and toned, with smaller pores at my t-zone. I currently haven’t seen much improvement with my hormonal breakouts, but my scars are getting lighter and lately, I’ve been seein glowing skin when I wake up in the morning! This treatment definitely takes time and continued use but in the long run, retinoids also have great anti-aging properties. I can’t wait to start seeing more results! I chose to try the Rose Milk Essence Moisturizer because the description sounded so appealing. The moisturizer has a decadent milk-like texture that melts into skin and a very subtle rose scent. The key ingredients in this product are rose, organic neroli, organic jasmine, aloe and hyaluronic acid to nourish the skin. After testing this product for a couple weeks, I’ve found it to be a great product to use after toner and before I layer on my face oil and moisturizer. While this product is marketed as a moisturizer, I don’t think it’s moisturizing enough, even for my oily-combo skin. As an essence though, it is absolute perfection. A few fall essentials in honor of my favorite season of the year (including this @roencandles palo santo bundle that’s too pretty to burn lol)

Cleanliness is something I try to uphold in my household. However, one thing that I never really considered in household cleaning products was if they are actually “clean.” Society has given me the push I needed to start using cleaning products with better ingredients, including this lovely smelling oatmeal lavender bar soap. And by the way, this bar soap is a great soap. It’s simple, effective, and soothing to my hands. Plus, the common notion is that natural products are typically more expensive. Society actually aims to help save you $$ on everyday cleaning essentials. So why didn’t I make the swap sooner? I hope to try out their other products soon (especially the carpet stain remover because my puppy is always making a mess!).
