Livon Labs: Branching into beauty supplements
Notice something different? My photos got a sunny makeover. I haven’t been too pleased with my content lately. I’m very harsh with myself when it comes to my photography - in all aspects. I scrutinize the styling, the editing - EVERYTHING - to the point where I tend to refrain from posting my photos on the blog or IG. I’ve taken some time recently to figure out how I want to edit my photos because a lot of times, the tone conveys a mood and one of my goals this year was to grow and develop my own style with my photography. So, I’m trying something new - I hope you all like it.
Alright, enough rambling - let’s get into the review.
It’s been awhile since I’ve done a Palm (@joinpalm) collab. Call it a blogger club, but this network that Palm has created has given me the opportunity to try so many different beauty brands and now, I’ve even branched out into the wellness category. In March, I got to try these Lypospheric Glutathione supplements from Livon Labs (which Gwenyth Paltrow endorses, and god forbid I trust Gwenyth because she has amazing, glowing skin).
So what is Lypospheric Glutathione (GSH)?
It’s a master antioxidant that provides the following benefits:
supports healthy liver function (great for the digestive system)
promotes and supports cell regeneration
lightens dark spots and diminishes the appearance of wrinkles
I’ve been taking these supplements daily for about two and a half weeks now, and already I can attest to the benefits. I’ve definitely seen improvement in my liver function, which in turn, has helped my skin stay clear (aside from a couple small pimples here and there - no one’s perfect.)
How it works - the supplements come in these packets and Livon provides you with a shot glass. It’s a gel formula, so if you hate swallowing pills like me this will be perfect for you. Simply pour any beverage of your choice (I prefer juice), and squeeze the gel into the shot glass. Then, you drink the mixture in one gulp, as if you’re taking a shot basically.
I find the gel has a funny taste, kind of sulfur-y or that rotten egg smell. That’s why I prefer to pair it with juice versus water. However, the taste is super subtle and goes away within seconds after you swallow the gel. So totally tolerable.
*Note: The instructions suggest you take on an empty stomach and wait 15 minutes before eating.
I’ve really enjoyed taking this supplement. I’m already starting to see the benefits and am hoping to see more with continued use. I received a 60-day supply from Palm x Livon Labs collaboration. The only downside - it’s $62.95 for a 30-day supply. The price point is pretty high in my opinion, so I’m not sure if I will purchase this after I run out or if I’ll look into other more affordable alternatives.
But anyway, special thanks to Palm and Livon Labs! If you’re interested in trying this out, you can check out the product here.
Until next time, Megan.
