the goodbeing february review: the galentine edition

Happy Tuesday! I'm back at it today with another Goodbeing box review. Last month was the month of romance & this box came equipped with all the things that I needed to prep myself for date night with my husband. The February box included:

Akar Skin sampler set (Neat Remedy Face Oil, Lush Balance Toning Mist, Ruby Tint Lip Butter, Nutrient Boost Eye Serum)

Aila Cosmetics Nail Polish

Curandera Remedies Therapeutic Eau de Parfum in Majmua

Au Naturale Cosmetics Creme de la Creme Eyeshadow

Pangea Organics Body Polish

Rechoc Reservatol Dark Chocolate

I keep saying this, but I think this is my favorite box. Each month just continues to exceed my expectations and Goodbeing is always so on par with my monthly obsessions. (This month's obsessions: makeup, chocolate, and fragrance) So before I start rambling, let's dive right into the review.

Akar Skin sampler set

I'm a veteran to Akar Skin's products. I already own the Desert Rescue Face Oil and the Ruby Tint Lip Butter from a previous Art of Organics box. The thing I love the most about Akar Skin's products is that each product is crafted with ingredients of the highest quality. I found this same level of quality in the products I received in the sampler set. The Neat Remedy face oil and the Nutrient Boost eye serum both felt very luxurious and sunk into my skin like a dream. It was my first time using an eye serum that was oil-based, so I was a bit weary that it would cause milia under my eyes. However, I'm happy to report that this was not the case.  Both products left my skin so unbelievably smooth. Maybe I'm easily impressed with face mists and lip products, so it was no surprise that I really liked the Lush Balance Toning Mist and Ruby Tint Lip Butter (which I'm really happy to have a mini version of--it's so cute!). If Akar Skin's price point wasn't so high, I would definitely repurchase these--and everything else.

Aila Cosmetics Nail Polish

Although I haven't tried this nail polish yet, I love the color I received. It's a rosy pink. At first, I thought it would be a solid color, but when I looked closer, I found out there is actually some shimmer to it. I'm really excited to see how it applies.

Curandera Remedies Therapeutic Eau de Parfum in Majmua

Aromatherapy is something that I've been wanting to explore. I find it so fascinating that a certain scent can evoke different moods or even relax one's mind and body. For that reason, I chose this perfume by Curandera Remedies for my February pick. This perfume is a hybrid between an aromatherapy oil and a fragrance. It's a strong musky scent that is spicy and fresh. I don't know why but the scent kinda reminds me of lychee fruit. The scent brings me a sense of peace whenever I use it. It's strong at first but is not overwhelming. The perfume doesn't last long on me, but the rollerball vial makes it super travel-friendly.

Au Naturale Cosmetics Creme de la Creme Eyeshadow

The Au Naturale cream eyeshadow I received was a taupe-gray shade with a violet metallic shift. It's more on the cool-toned side of the spectrum but surprisingly looked flattering against my warm yellow undertones. I really appreciate how finely milled the pigment was in this eyeshadow. It applies smoothly without any chunky glitter bits. The only thing I wish it had more of was staying power. Even with primer, this eyeshadow creased, so it might not be suitable for us monolid or oily eyelid gals. With that being said, I will still use this occasionally on light makeup days, but if I know I'll need something with more longevity, I'll probably reach for my other eyeshadows instead.

Pangea Organics Body Polish

This body polish from Pangea Organics feels and smells so luxurious. It is formulated with Brazilian Brown Sugar and Cocoa Butter to exfoliate and moisturize the skin. I really like this body scrub because it is super fuss-free. The sugar dissolves as you rub the polish into your skin, so you don't have to worry about cleaning your bathtub after. It's not too gritty either, making it gentle enough for sensitive skin. I also found that I don't need to moisturize after I step out of the shower. I just wish the tub was bigger. I have a feeling this body polish will not last long for me.

Rechoc Reservatol Dark Chocolate

Dark chocolate is the icing on the cake when it comes to any date night or Galentine's day. The best part, it's a reservatol beauty supplement that is intended to boost a healthy, well-balanced diet. I have yet to see these effects but I have to say, I love dark chocolate.
