Last Wednesday, I was surprised to find this lovely package from Algenist on my doorstep. Not only did it contain their newest launch, the GENIUS Liquid Collagen, but also this algae ecosystem which I had tons of fun putting together. Talk about super cool packaging right??
So what do we know about the product? According to Algenist, the liquid collagen is:
"First ever vegan, plant-based collagen formulation with the highest concentration of active collagen // Helps condition the skin to visibly improve resiliency and bounce // 13,000 beads of Microalgae Oil in every bottle hydrates, nourishes, and visibly restores skin's radiance"
I didn't know I needed a collagen-based product & I certainly didn't know that collagen was not vegan-friendly. It's safe to say I've learned a lot in the past couple days. I've used this product a few times already & I'm honestly pretty impressed by it. My skin feels glowy & pillowy-soft after applying the product. I find that I only need one dime-sized drop to cover my face and neck. It's also super lightweight & absorbs quickly despite the fact that the serum is quite thick. You can visibly see the beads of Microalgae oil, but they dissolve immediately after you start to spread the product over your face. It's also great for layering. No pilling at all! The only gripe I have with this serum is that it is fragranced. However, the scent doesn't bother me too much. I can't wait to see how this liquid collagen holds up in the long run.
You can find this serum now on Algenist's site & at Sephora. It retails for $115. Special thanks to Algenist for sending this my way!
What are your thoughts on Algenist's new GENIUS Liquid Collagen? Let me know if you've tried it as well!
Until next time, Megan.
