Le Visage: Cleansers for Every Occasion

Le Visage: Cleansers for Every Occasion

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE! Today, I want to talk about my favorite cleansers. This trio helps me face every single skin problem that I encounter, having combo-oily skin and all. Maybe it's the beauty junkie in me justifying my need for three different cleansers but trust me, they each address a different problem. There's honestly no such thing as having perfect skin. You have to listen to your skin's needs and use the right products to combat those problems---whether it be clogged pores, acne breakouts, excess oil, or dry patches.

Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser — The everyday, gentle cleanse.

I've learned from years of harsh, drying acne treatments that what your skin needs the most is to be treated with care. I always thought that having acne-prone, oily skin I needed to strip my face of all the oils and dirt that were causing breakouts, but that's actually not the best way to tackle acne. I've honestly fallen in love with this conditioning cleanser from Glossier. It's super gently so it doesn't irritate my acne and it gets the job done. My face feels really fresh and clean after I use it every day. This cleanser has a thicker gel consistency and smells faintly like roses. It's just perfection.

Leahlani Skincare Kalima Coconut Cream Powder Cleanser — The tropical-smelling exfoliator.

For those days when your skin does not look so hot, this Leahlani powder cleanser can restore your skin to it's former glory. Exfoliation is necessary to keep skin looking clean because sometimes, regular cleansers are not enough. Sebum filaments are a really annoying downside of having oily skin. It often gives skin a rougher texture, making it hard to apply base makeup evenly. When that happens, I like to reach for this powder cleanser. It has an amazing creamy scent of coconut, chocolate, and tropical fruits. The powder emulsifies into a mousse-like texture once you add a few drops of water but once it's spread out, it becomes a sheer grainy texture that your can massage onto your face. My face always feels buttery smooth and soft after I use this cleanser.

Honest Beauty Refreshingly Clean Gel Cleanser — The deep clean.

I would not recommend this cleanser from Honest Beauty for daily use unless you have extremely oily skin because it can dry out your skin after a while. However, this gel cleanser does a really great job at giving you that deeper cleanse when your skin is feeling really congested. Also, I love that it doesn't leave a squeaky clean after rinsing it off. My skin's texture feels really refined after I use it which is unlike any cleanser I have ever tried.

So those are all the cleansers I currently have on rotation. Let me know if you have any recommendations for other cleansers I should try. I hope you give these products a try.

Until next time, Megan.
